Professional Security Input

The Cherry KC 1000 SC JK-A0100EU-2 is a wired keyboard with an integrated smart card terminal built for environments that require hardware-based authentication. It targets administrators, financial staff and government users who must log in with a physical credential every session. The USB connection supplies both data and power without extra cables.

Durable Desktop Integration

Cherry specifies a 10 million keystroke rating for the key switches, indicating a focus on long-term reliability under heavy daily use. The matte black chassis resists visible wear and fits standard office desk layouts. A single USB Type-A plug carries the keyboard signal and the smart card reader interface, so no separate reader dongle or driver installation is needed on supported operating systems.

Replaces Separate Reader Setups

This model consolidates a standard keyboard and an external smart card reader into one device, freeing a USB port and reducing desk clutter. The upgrade makes sense when an organisation already issues contact smart cards and wants a single peripheral for both typing and secure logon. It does not suit buyers who need contactless NFC reading, wireless freedom or a compact tenkeyless form factor.

What are the physical dimensions and mounting requirements?

The keyboard follows a standard full-size layout in black finish, designed for desktop placement without additional mounting hardware.
