Chicago-Latrobe 53148 Taper Shank Drill

The Chicago-Latrobe 53148 is a 3/4 inch taper shank drill bit made from high-speed steel with a black oxide finish. It features a conventional 118-degree point angle for general-purpose drilling. The tool uses a #2 Morse taper shank for secure mounting in compatible drill presses or lathes. It is suited for metalworking professionals and maintenance technicians.

Check your machine spindle and workpiece material

Verify that your drill press or lathe accepts a #2 Morse taper shank before ordering. Confirm the 118-degree point angle matches the requirements of the material you intend to drill. This bit is designed for conventional drilling applications and may not suit specialised high-performance or production tooling needs. Buyers needing different shank styles or point geometries should select an alternative product.
