Taper shank drill bit with a 118-degree conventional point, high-speed steel construction and black oxide finish
This Chicago-Latrobe 53168 taper shank drill bit is a new high-speed steel cutting tool finished in black oxide. It features a 1 1/16 inch diameter, a #3 Morse taper shank, and a conventional 118-degree point angle. The design suits stationary drilling machines equipped to accept a #3MT interface.
This bit does not suit users requiring a straight shank for hand-held drill chucks or a different Morse taper size. It is not for applications needing a split-point or coated tip for self-centring or extended wear life. Buyers needing smaller or larger diameters must select a different model.
