Chicago-Latrobe 53433 Cobalt Drill Bit

The Chicago-Latrobe 53433 is a reduced shank drill bit made from cobalt steel with a straw-bronze finish. It has a 33/64 in diameter and a 118 degree point angle for general-purpose drilling. The cobalt construction provides resistance to heat and wear when machining tough materials.

Suited for machinists drilling 33/64 in holes

This bit suits users who need a single large-diameter cobalt tool for machine work. It is not for buyers who need a set of multiple sizes, a split-point geometry for self-centering, or a drill bit with a different shank style to fit a specific chuck.

Questions about this item

Does the 53433 cobalt drill bit come alone or in a set, and is a drill chuck included?

The 53433 is supplied as a single Silver and Deming drill bit with a reduced shank. A drill chuck is not included and must be purchased separately if you do not already have one.

When should I choose the 33/64 inch 118 degree cobalt version over other sizes or point angles?

Choose this 33/64 inch bit when you need a hole of that exact diameter. The 118 degree point angle suits general-purpose drilling in steel and cast iron, while the cobalt steel resists heat better than high-speed steel.
