Chicago-Latrobe 55466 Silver/Deming Drill Bit 1 1/32 in 118 Deg HSS

Chicago-Latrobe 55466 Silver/Deming Drill Bit

This Chicago-Latrobe 55466 drill bit is manufactured from High Speed Steel with a black oxide finish. It features a 1 1/32 inch diameter and a 118 degree point angle suitable for general purpose drilling. The reduced shank design allows use with standard drill chucks that cannot accommodate the full bit diameter. It is intended for machinists and tradespeople needing a large diameter hole in metal or wood.

Reduced shank fits standard chucks for large holes

The reduced shank allows this bit to be secured in a standard drill chuck while delivering a 1 1/32 inch cutting diameter. High Speed Steel construction provides durability when drilling steel, cast iron or non-ferrous metals. The 118 degree point angle centres quickly without a pilot hole in many materials. Builders requiring a smaller diameter or a different point geometry for specialised materials should select an alternative bit.
