Chicago-Latrobe 57723 Jobber Drill Set

This Chicago-Latrobe 57723 set provides 11 metric jobber length drill bits made from high speed steel with a black oxide finish. The 118 degree point angle suits general purpose drilling in metal, wood and plastic. It is intended for trade professionals and serious DIY users who need a ready range of standard sizes.

Sustained use performance

High speed steel construction resists heat build-up during extended drilling sessions better than carbon steel alternatives. The black oxide finish helps retain lubricant and reduces chip welding when holes are drilled in succession. Users requiring cobalt alloy bits for hardened steel or specialised coatings for high volume production should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 118-degree point angle generate when the 11-piece set runs continuously in a pneumatic drill?

The 118-degree point angle on these high-speed steel bits reduces thrust force, so less friction heat builds up during extended pneumatic drilling.

What shank size must my pneumatic drill chuck accept for the 57723 metric bits to fit?

Each bit in the 11-piece set has a straight shank sized to its metric diameter; your chuck must accommodate the largest bit in the set.
