15-Piece Taper Length Drill Set

The Chicago-Latrobe 69884 set contains fifteen high-speed steel drill bits with a 118-degree point angle. It is designed for general-purpose drilling tasks in a workshop or job-site environment.

High-Speed Steel With Black Oxide Finish

The bits feature a black oxide surface treatment that reduces friction and resists corrosion during use. A right-hand cutting direction and a 4xD depth-to-diameter ratio support standard through-hole and deep-hole drilling without coolant.

118-Degree Point Angle For General Use

The 118-degree point angle suits a wide range of materials including mild steel, aluminium and plastic. Buyers needing specialised angles for hard alloys or high-volume production should consider dedicated geometry instead.

Questions about this item

What is the point angle of the 118-degree drill bits in this 15-piece set?

The drill bits feature a 118-degree point angle designed for general-purpose drilling across a range of materials.

What are the physical dimensions and shank type of the bits in the 69884 set?

The set contains taper-length high-speed steel bits with a 4xD depth-to-diameter ratio and black oxide finish.

How do you correctly install these taper-length bits into a drill chuck?

Insert the straight shank fully into the chuck jaws and tighten securely; the common error is not seating the shank deep enough, causing runout.
