Extra Long Drill Bit #1 HSS 11125

The Chicago-Latrobe drill bit is designed for deep-hole applications requiring extended reach. Its extra-long body suits maintenance, fabrication and automotive tasks where standard-length bits cannot access the workpiece. The high-speed steel construction with black oxide finish provides durability for machining high-performance materials.

135-degree split point and 28-degree helix

The 135-degree split point reduces walking and enables faster penetration in metal. A 28-degree helix angle aids chip evacuation during deep drilling up to 2 5/8 inches. Builders needing larger diameters, different point angles or carbide tips for abrasive materials will require alternative tooling.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the #1 size or another diameter for this extra-long bit?

The #1 wire-gauge diameter matches the 11125 part number; select a different wire size only if your hole chart calls for it.

What does the 135-degree split point do when the bit is in a drill press?

The 135-degree split point centres the bit without a centre punch and reduces wandering in deep holes up to 2 5/8 in.
