Chicago Pneumatic CP9779 Air Belt Sander

This Chicago Pneumatic CP9779 is an air-powered belt sander built for light-duty sanding tasks. It runs at 22000 rpm with a 0.35 hp motor and a fixed straight-grip arm. The 3/8 in by 13 in belt moves at 2,000 SFPM for material removal in tight areas.

Check air supply and hose before use

Verify your compressor can deliver 59 cfm at 90 psi through a 3/8 in minimum hose to the 1/4 in NPT inlet. The non-locking lever throttle requires continuous hand pressure during operation. No vacuum port is fitted, so dust extraction must be handled separately.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The tool produces a sound level of 102 dBA and a vibration level of 2.5 vpm under load. Air consumption stays at 59 cfm while the 0.35 hp motor runs at the required 90 psi. Expect consistent output as long as supply pressure and volume remain steady.
