Flat Ceiling Plate for Projector Mounts

The CHIEF MANUFACTURING CMA110 is an 8-inch (203 mm) flat ceiling plate designed for projector installations. It connects to any CMS fixed or adjustable extension column to create a custom mounting solution. The black finish suits commercial and residential environments. Installers use it when a low-profile attachment point is required.

Load Capacity and Column Compatibility

The plate supports equipment up to 500 lb, providing substantial headroom for heavy projectors and enclosures. It accepts standard CMS extension columns, allowing variable drop lengths without additional adapters. The fixed 8-inch diameter limits use to ceilings that can accommodate this footprint. Builders needing a larger or smaller mounting surface must choose a different plate.

Included Set Screw for Secure Locking

A set screw is supplied to lock the extension column firmly into the plate. This prevents lateral movement or accidental disengagement during vibration or maintenance. No other hardware or software is bundled with the accessory. Installers must source mounting bolts and anchors separately for the ceiling structure.

Questions about this item

Will the CMA110 attach to my existing CMS extension column?

The flat ceiling plate works with any CMS Fixed or Adjustable Extension Column, so your current column will connect directly.

How can I confirm the CMA110 is mounted securely after installation?

Tighten the included set screw against the column; a firm, immobile joint with no wobble shows the plate is holding correctly.

Does the CMA110 package include mounting hardware for the ceiling itself?

The box contains the 8-inch black plate and a set screw; ceiling anchors and bolts must be purchased separately.
