What it is and who it fits

The Chief Manufacturing CMS0406W is an adjustable extension column that lowers a projector to the required height. It supports a maximum load of 500.00 lb and connects to any 1 1/2" NPT accessory. Installers mounting heavy projectors in high-ceiling venues will find the capacity suitable.

Installation notes

The column uses a Speed-Connect design that threads onto standard 1 1/2" NPT fittings, so no proprietary brackets are required. Ensure the mounting structure can handle the full 500.00 lb rating before attaching the projector. Over-tightening the NPT joint can damage threads and compromise the hold.

Deciding specification

The 500.00 lb load rating is the single figure that determines whether this extension will safely carry your projector. Verify the combined weight of the projector and any attached lens against this limit before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the extension column is holding the projector securely after installation?

Confirm the projector remains stable at the lowered height and the total suspended weight does not exceed 500.00 lb.

What comes with the CMS-0406W and what must I source separately?

The adjustable extension column is supplied; any 1 1/2" NPT accessory and the projector mount itself are purchased separately.

Which version of the CMS-0406W should I choose for my installation?

The single model CMS-0406W supports up to 500.00 lb and fits any 1 1/2" NPT accessory, so select it when that capacity and thread match your needs.
