Children of Morta Steam adventure game

Children of Morta is a downloadable action RPG with rogue-lite mechanics from 11 bit studios, released on Steam in September 2019. You guide the Bergson family through procedurally generated dungeons, developing both individual characters and the family as a whole across repeated runs. The game supports both local and online co-operative play for two players, allowing a friend to join the fight against the Corruption.

Solo players wanting family progression

This title suits players who enjoy narrative-driven hack-and-slash gameplay where progression persists across runs without permadeath. The story explores themes of love, sacrifice and family bonds alongside the combat. Buyers who want competitive multiplayer modes, a purely single-hero focus, or games without procedural generation should look at something else.

Steam account required for activation and play

Activating Children of Morta requires a third-party Steam account and an internet connection to redeem the supplied online game code. The Steam DRM handles installation, updates and both local and online co-op connectivity. Supported spoken languages include English, Japanese and Persian, with subtitles available in thirteen languages including French, German, Korean and Simplified Chinese.
