Replacement control knob for GE Zoneline PTAC units, 1 1/2" beige diameter
This beige control knob replaces the original dial on compatible General Electric Zoneline packaged terminal air conditioners. It measures one and a half inches in diameter and carries the Choice Manufactured Parts number WP12X10002CM. The part is designed as a direct replacement for the factory component.
The knob operates mechanically and requires no electricity, so it adds no thermal load and produces no audible noise. Installation simply presses the replacement onto the existing control shaft. Normal use involves only manual rotation to adjust the unit settings.
Supplied as a single knob, it matches the original beige finish and fits the same shaft used on the listed Zoneline PTAC models. The package includes no additional hardware, software or adapters. Swapping the worn knob returns full control of the air conditioner without modifying the appliance.

Pull the old knob straight off the control shaft, then press the new beige knob firmly onto the same shaft until it seats fully; the step often missed is verifying the knob pointer aligns with the correct temperature markings after installation.
The knob itself requires no scheduled maintenance; replace it only if the plastic cracks, the beige finish fades badly, or the fit on the control shaft becomes loose enough to slip during adjustment.
The first limit is mechanical wear of the knob's internal splines, which can cause the knob to spin on the shaft without turning the underlying control after extended daily use.
