What the set contains

The Chopmate Color knife set includes eight stainless-steel blades with an anti-bacterial ceramic coating. Pieces are an 8 inch chef knife, an 8 inch bread knife, an 8 inch slicer, a 5.2 inch cheese knife, a 5 inch utility knife and a 4 inch pizza knife. The brand has been manufacturing since 1970 and the knives are BPA free.

The coating that defines performance

A ceramic layer on every blade provides the anti-bacterial surface and non-stick release that makes cleaning simple. The manufacturer states the coating helps the edges stay sharp up to 10 times longer and that the knives arrive up to 2 times sharper than other brands. This single surface treatment drives both hygiene and edge retention.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Home cooks wanting a colour-coded, low-maintenance block for everyday prep will find the range of blade shapes convenient. Buyers who need boning, filleting or paring knives, or who prefer uncoated high-carbon steel for professional sharpening, should look at a different set.

Questions about this item

How does the claim of holding an edge 10x longer translate to daily sharpening frequency?

The ceramic coating is designed to retain sharpness far longer than standard stainless steel, reducing the need for frequent honing during everyday meal prep.

What does the anti-bacterial ceramic coating actually prevent on the blade surface?

The coating inhibits bacterial growth on the steel and creates a non-stick surface that releases food easily for simpler cleaning.

Will the 5.2 inch cheese knife and 8 inch chef knife fit in a standard countertop block?

The set includes blades of varying lengths up to 8 inches, so a block with deep, mixed-size slots is required to store all eight pieces securely.
