Compatible MICR Toner

The CIG 200899P cartridge replaces the HP CF287A (HP 87A) toner in compatible LaserJet printers. It is formulated with magnetic ink character recognition toner for printing cheques and financial documents that require bank-readable encoding. Offices and businesses handling secure payment workflows use this supply to meet cheque-processing standards.

Build Quality and Fit

New condition ensures the cartridge arrives free of wear or refill residue. The unit measures 7.375 in height, 4.5 in width and 14 in length, matching the form factor expected by the printer's toner bay. Standard slide-in mounting means installation follows the printer's normal replacement procedure without extra tools or adapters.

MICR Formulation Decides Suitability

Magnetic toner content is the single specification that determines whether this cartridge suits the workflow. Standard toner lacks the iron oxide required for automated cheque clearing, so only a MICR formulation satisfies banking readers. Buyers printing ordinary documents without cheque obligations do not need this specialised supply.
