3.5" USB A/C Floppy Drive 1.44MB

The CIpotZIZ ZIZ01C-BT is a new external 3.5 inch floppy disk drive with a brushed texture finish. It connects via dual USB-A and USB-C interfaces for plug-and-play operation on Windows systems. The drive reads and writes standard 1.44MB diskettes without requiring extra drivers or external power. It weighs 9.9 ounces and measures 5.51 x 4 x 0.63 inches.

Windows-only legacy data recovery

This drive suits users who need to access archived files, photos or documents stored on 3.5 inch floppies using a modern Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP or 2000 PC. It is not compatible with Mac operating systems, so buyers requiring macOS support should look elsewhere. The compact, lightweight design makes it convenient for occasional use on laptops or desktops lacking internal bays.

1.44MB capacity on 3.5 inch media

The decisive specification is the 1.44MB formatted capacity on standard 3.5 inch diskettes. If your media uses this format, the drive will read and write it directly over USB. Disks with different capacities or physical sizes are not supported by this hardware.

Questions about this item

What type of USB port does the ZIZ01C-BT need on my PC?

It connects through a dual USB-A and USB-C interface, so either port type on your Windows laptop or desktop will power and run the drive.

Will the drive read 3.5 inch disks formatted on Windows XP or 2000 machines?

Yes, the unit supports Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP and 2000, so legacy 1.44 MB disks from those systems are readable.

How can I confirm the drive is operating correctly after plugging it in?

Insert a 1.44 MB diskette; the drive should appear in File Explorer without extra drivers, and the frosted ABS casing stays cool and quiet during read or write activity.
