A 24-port managed PoE+ switch with four SFP uplinks, Layer 3 routing and 32K MAC entries
The Cisco Catalyst 9200 C9200-24P-E is a rack-mountable managed switch with 24 RJ45 ports supporting 10/100/1000Mbps speeds and four SFP uplinks at 10 Gbps. It delivers PoE+ power across all copper ports for devices such as access points and IP phones. The unit runs Network Essentials software and supports Cisco StackWise technology for simplified operations.
This switch fits networks that require Layer 3 routing, MACsec encryption, and advanced features such as Flexible NetFlow and Embedded Event Manager. It is not intended for deployments that need higher port density beyond 24 copper ports or uplink speeds exceeding 10 Gbps. Organisations without in-house Cisco management expertise may find the feature set more complex than necessary.
Built-in StackWise allows multiple units to operate as a single logical device, reducing management overhead. The four SFP uplink slots accept compatible transceivers for fibre or copper uplinks, while the modular design supports future network module upgrades. A 32K MAC address table and 9198-byte jumbo frames handle demanding traffic patterns.
