  • #4-40 UNC thread taps cut precise internal threads

  • Three flutes provide efficient chip clearance during tapping
  • High-speed steel construction resists wear for longer tool life
  • Bright uncoated finish suits general-purpose hand tapping applications

Thread-cutting set for #4-40 UNC holes

This Cle-Line C62004 hand tap set contains three straight-flute taps in taper, plug and bottoming styles. Each tap is made from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish and cuts a right-hand UNC thread to a 2B class of fit with an H2 limit.

Suited to manual threading in maintenance

The three-flute design and 9/16 inch thread length work well for through and blind holes in softer materials. Builders who need coated taps for abrasive alloys, spiral-point taps for deep through holes, or a different thread standard should choose another set.

Thread size #4-40 UNC with H2 limit

This specification defines the pitch diameter tolerance and class of fit, so the taps will only produce threads that match #4-40 UNC 2B requirements. Verify the required thread designation before purchase.
