Premium Synthetic Chamois for Car Owners

The CleanTools Absorber 42149 is a rectangular PVA drying cloth sized 27 inches by 17 inches. Its super-absorbent structure pulls water from paintwork quickly, cutting the time spent drying after a wash. The blue material is soft and scratch-free, making it safe for clear coats and delicate interior surfaces. It targets vehicle owners who want a reusable alternative to traditional leather chamois or microfibre towels.

Simple Care With a Storage Tube Included

The cloth arrives in a protective tube that keeps it damp and ready for the next use. Installation is simply unfolding the absorber and wiping the surface; no chemicals or special technique are required. Machine washing restores full absorbency, though fabric softeners should be avoided because they coat the PVA fibres. The only common issue is stiffness when bone dry, which disappears after a brief soak in warm water.

Consistent Absorption Through Extended Use

Under sustained drying sessions the PVA material holds many times its weight in liquid without dripping. It does not saturate as fast as cotton towels, so fewer wring-outs are needed during a full vehicle detail. The synthetic weave resists mildew and most cleaning chemicals, maintaining performance over years of wash cycles. Heavy grit trapped in the fibres can mar paint, so rinse the cloth frequently when working on dirty panels.

Questions about this item

How can I tell the Absorber 42149 is drying properly after first use?

The 27 x 17 in PVA cloth should pull water off paint and glass in one pass without leaving streaks or lint, and it will feel damp but not saturated when you wring it out.

What comes in the tube and do I need any extra products?

The package includes one blue Absorber cloth inside the storage tube; no chemicals, buckets or additional towels are required to start drying.

Which size should I choose for a full-size sedan versus a motorcycle?

The single 27 x 17 in version covers a sedan roof or hood in one unfold, while the same cloth folded once handles a motorcycle tank and fairings.
