Product identity

The Clearly Superior Technologies CST3645A is a wireless vertical mouse designed for users who want a more natural hand posture during long sessions. Its 5-button layout and integrated removable hand rest suit office workers and casual users seeking reduced wrist strain. The 2.4 GHz RF connection works through a small USB nano receiver.

Sustained use behaviour

The vertical shape keeps the forearm in a neutral position so muscles stay relaxed over hours of continuous pointing and clicking. The 1600 dpi optical sensor tracks consistently on typical desk surfaces without needing a pad. Two AAA batteries power the unit, avoiding cable drag during extended work periods.

Installation and common issues

Plug the nano receiver into any free USB port and the mouse is recognised immediately without extra software. The removable hand rest can be taken off if desk space is tight or if the user prefers a lower profile. Buyers who need programmable macros, adjustable weight or a rechargeable battery will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.4 GHz nano receiver draw enough power to drain a laptop battery during all-day use?

The receiver plugs into a standard USB port and draws only the tiny current the port supplies, so it has no measurable impact on battery life during extended sessions.

What must I already have for the CST3645A to work out of the box?

You need a free USB-A port for the nano receiver and two AAA batteries for the mouse itself; no software installation is required.

Will the 1600 DPI sensor track reliably on the same desk surface my older optical mouse uses?

Yes, the 1600 DPI optical sensor works on typical office surfaces that older optical mice handle, so you can keep your existing mouse pad or desk finish.
