Precision Port Tool for Aircraft Work

The Cleveland C46910 is a high-speed steel counterbore with an interchangeable pilot, built for aircraft-length porting tasks. Its .250 inch diameter and 2.813 inch overall length suit precision hole preparation in aviation maintenance and manufacturing.

Suited for Aviation Technicians

Mechanics who need a dedicated counterbore with a swappable pilot for consistent port alignment will find this tool matches the spec. Shops without aircraft-length requirements or those needing different diameters should look at other options.

Simple Pilot Swap Installation

The interchangeable pilot design allows quick pilot changes without removing the tool body from the spindle. The main issue arises if the pilot is not fully seated or matched to the specific hole size, leading to off-centre cuts.

Questions about this item

What size pilot do I need to have for the .250" diameter port tool?

The tool accepts interchangeable pilots so you can match the pilot to the hole you are counterboring.

Will the 2.813" overall length reach the same depth as my current aircraft-length counterbores?

Yes, the 2.813" length matches standard aircraft-length counterbore reach.

How can I verify the C46910 is cutting correctly after I install a pilot?

A clean, flat-bottomed counterbore with no chatter marks shows the high-speed steel cutter and pilot are aligned and sharp.
