A 10.5 mm cobalt jobber drill with a 135-degree split point, 133 mm overall length and 87 mm flute length, built to NAS 907 Type J
This 10.5mm cobalt jobber drill meets National Aerospace Standards 907 Type J for heavy-duty applications. The split-point geometry at 135 degrees starts on contact and reduces walking on hard materials. It is suited for professional workshops and aerospace maintenance where NAS compliance is required.
The 135-degree split point centres itself without a pilot hole, yet the cobalt substrate still demands rigid setups and controlled feed rates to avoid chipping. Right-hand spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently in through-holes up to 87.00mm deep, but the tool lacks internal coolant channels for deep blind holes. Users must supply external flood or mist coolant when drilling stainless or high-temperature alloys.
The straw-bronze surface treatment identifies the cobalt grade and provides modest lubricity during break-in. A 10.50mm straight shank fits standard three-jaw chucks and collets without reducing shank diameter, so the full 133.00mm overall length is available for reach. The heavy-duty web resists deflection in tough alloys, but the absence of a whistle-notch flat means the drill cannot be secured in weldon-style holders.

Choose the 10.5 mm size when your drawing or pilot hole calls for a 10.50 mm (0.4134 in) finished hole; match the drill diameter to the required hole size.
The 135 degree split point centres itself on contact, reduces thrust and starts cutting immediately in hard materials such as stainless or aerospace alloys.
NAS 907 Type J defines the heavy-duty cobalt construction, 135 degree split point and dimensional tolerances for aerospace-grade drilling consistency.
