Cobalt steel jobber drill with 135° split point for precision drilling in tough materials
The Cleveland Golf Jobber Drill is a 10 mm cobalt steel bit built to NAS 907 Type J standards. Its 135 degree split point reduces walking and starts holes cleanly in hard metals. The straw-bronze finish identifies the heavy-duty cobalt grade. Right-hand spiral flutes clear chips efficiently during deep drilling.
Switch to this bit when standard high-speed steel drills dull quickly in stainless steel, titanium or high-temperature alloys. The cobalt substrate holds hardness at elevated temperatures, extending life between resharpening. The upgrade pays off in repeated production runs where bit changes cost downtime.
The 10 mm straight shank seats directly in any drill press or hand drill accepting 10 mm capacity. No reduced shank or sleeve is needed. The 87 mm flute length and 133 mm overall length reach through thick plate while leaving clearance for the chuck. Non-coolant-through design suits flood or mist lubrication.

The shank diameter is 10.00 mm, so a 10 mm drill chuck or collet is required for a secure grip.
Apply steady pressure at the centre mark; the 135° split point self-centres and cuts on contact without a centre punch.
Replace the bit when the cutting lips show visible rounding or when drilling 10 mm holes requires noticeably more feed force.
