Two-Piece Clamping Collar

The Climax Metal Products 2C-068-S is a new two-piece clamping collar listed under sports memorabilia and collectibles. It carries the manufacturer branding and is supplied directly from the maker. The transparent finish distinguishes its appearance. Buyers seeking a standard power-transmission collar for active machinery should look elsewhere.

California Proposition 65 notices

This product carries two California Proposition 65 warnings. One advises that it contains a chemical known to the state to cause cancer. The other advises a chemical known to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. The notices are regulatory disclosures and do not alter the physical collar.

Installation and fit

The two-piece design allows the collar to be fitted around a shaft without removing other components. Alignment of the mating halves is required before tightening. No software or accessories are bundled. Orders of $75 or more ship free from the manufacturer.

Questions about this item

Will the two-piece clamping collar need periodic re-torquing or replacement screws over time?

The collar is a solid mechanical fastener with no moving parts; under normal use it does not require scheduled re-torquing or screw replacement.

What is the first limit reached when the collar transmits torque continuously?

The clamping force of the two-piece design sets the torque capacity; once that friction grip is overcome the collar will slip on the shaft.

Does the collar generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day power-transmission duty?

No — it has no bearings or rotating interfaces, so it runs silently and adds no measurable heat to the system.
