Product Identity

The Climax Metal Products C-425 set screw collar is a power-transmission component designed to secure shafts in machinery. It suits maintenance engineers and equipment builders who need a reliable locking method for rotating assemblies. The transparent finish allows visual inspection of the contact area during installation.

Proposition 65 Notice

This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Buyers who require components free of listed substances for regulated environments should verify compliance before specifying this collar.

Application Limits

The collar functions within the mechanical limits of standard set-screw locking on cylindrical shafts. It does not suit applications that demand keyless clamping forces beyond screw torque or environments where the listed chemical restriction prohibits use. Builders needing higher axial capacity must select a different locking style.
