Questions about this item

What clamping standard does the D2C-025-A two-piece collar follow, and what shaft size does it cap in practice?

The D2C-025-A is a double-wide two-piece clamping collar; it clamps directly onto the shaft without a separate standard and the model number 25 indicates the nominal shaft size it fits.

What physical space and hardware are needed to mount this double-wide collar?

The collar splits into two halves that wrap around the shaft; you need enough radial clearance for the double-wide body and the two socket-head cap screws that draw the halves together.

How is the D2C-025-A installed, and which step do people often get wrong?

Position both halves around the shaft, insert the two screws, then tighten them alternately in small increments to 65 in-lb so the collar seats evenly; the common mistake is tightening one screw fully before the other.
