Metric two-piece clamping collar secures shafts with 65 mm bore diameter
The Climax Metal Products M2C-65-S is a metric two-piece clamping collar designed for securing components on shafts within power transmission assemblies. Its split construction allows installation or adjustment without removing other mounted hardware, suiting maintenance engineers and machinery builders.
The collar features a transparent colour and carries a California Proposition 65 warning indicating the presence of chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. No thermal, acoustic or electrical power characteristics are associated with this passive mechanical component.
The two-piece clamp design changes the workflow by enabling positional locking or repositioning on a 65 mm metric shaft while surrounding equipment remains in place. This eliminates the downtime and labour of sliding a solid collar over shaft ends during installation or service.

Separate the two halves, position them around the shaft, then tighten the clamping screws evenly to secure the collar in place without removing other components.
Periodically check the clamping screws for proper torque and inspect the collar for wear or corrosion to maintain reliable holding power.
The clamping force may gradually decrease if screws loosen under vibration, requiring re-torquing to maintain shaft grip.
