Metric set screw collar in transparent finish with California Proposition 65 warnings
The Climax Metal Products MC-32-S is a metric set screw collar designed for power transmission assemblies. It secures shafts and components in industrial machinery and maintenance applications. The transparent finish allows visual inspection of the mounting surface. This item is supplied new from the manufacturer.
This collar upgrades or replaces damaged set screw collars on existing equipment where metric dimensions are required. The jump is worth it when the original collar has loosened, corroded or stripped its threads. It restores holding power without modifying the shaft or hub. California Proposition 65 warnings apply to this product.
The collar integrates into bearing, V-belt and drive assemblies that use metric hardware. It frees up design space by clamping directly to the shaft without a keyway. Installers must verify the shaft diameter matches the collar bore before assembly. Orders of $75 or more ship free from the manufacturer.

The MC-32-S is a 32 mm metric set-screw collar, so it clamps onto a 32 mm shaft.
Tighten the set screw against a flat on the shaft or use a shaft protector; over-torquing on a round shaft causes slippage and scoring.
Replace the collar if the bore is worn oval, the set-screw threads are stripped, or the collar shows cracks from over-tightening.
