Dual 4K HDMI docking station

The CODi Centro M3 docking station adds two HDMI ports capable of 4K resolution at 60 Hz when the host supports DP 1.4 and HBR3. It provides a single USB-C uplink with 100 W Power Delivery pass-through to keep a laptop charged while driving both displays. Three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports accommodate peripherals such as keyboards, mice and external drives. A built-in Gigabit Ethernet port supplies a stable wired network link for office or home use.

Sustained workload behaviour

The dock maintains both 4K video streams and peripheral bandwidth without requiring driver installation, so performance stays consistent during long work sessions. Power Delivery continues to supply up to 100 W to the host while all ports are active, preventing battery drain under continuous load. The Gigabit Ethernet connection remains stable for extended file transfers or video conferences. Plug-and-play operation means no background software consumes system resources over time.

Thermals noise and power

The unit operates silently because it contains no moving parts such as fans. Its aluminium housing dissipates heat passively during normal multi-monitor and charging use. Power draw scales with the attached laptop and peripherals, staying within the 100 W PD budget supplied by the host adapter. The detachable braided uplink cable stores neatly for transport without adding bulk or heat.

Questions about this item

Does the CODi A01059 get noisy or hot when driving two 4K displays at 60Hz all day?

The dock has no fan and draws power from the host, so it runs silently; sustained dual 4K output at 60Hz may warm the aluminium casing, which is normal for a compact 100W PD hub.

What must my laptop already provide for the A01059 to deliver dual 4K 60Hz and 100W charging?

The host needs a USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 alternate mode and HBR3 bandwidth plus 100W Power Delivery support; without both, the second HDMI or full charging will not activate.

Will my older USB-A 3.0 flash drives and Cat5e patch cable work at full speed on this A01059?

The three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports are backward compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices, and the Gigabit Ethernet port negotiates down to 100 Mbps on Cat5e, so legacy gear functions without adapters.
