Cognex DMR-260X-MAX DataMan 260X 752x480 2D Auto Focus Barcode Scanner

Industrial 2D barcode scanner with auto focus

The Cognex DataMan 260X is a fixed-mount 2D imager designed for production-line traceability and logistics scanning. Its 752 x 480 sensor and auto-focus 16 mm lens capture codes at up to 60 frames per second. The unit achieves a maximum decode rate of 45 codes per second. IP65 sealing protects against dust and water jets in harsh environments.

Verify RS-232 connectivity

The scanner communicates over RS-232 and provides four optoisolated discrete outputs for PLC integration. Confirm that your controller or gateway has a compatible serial port and can supply the required voltage levels for the isolated outputs. Mounting hardware and cabling are not included, so plan for suitable brackets and shielded cable runs. The IP65 rating assumes correctly sealed cable glands and connectors.

Replaces manual or fixed-focus readers

This model upgrades from handheld scanners or fixed-focus imagers that cannot maintain read rates on variable-distance parts. The auto-focus lens eliminates manual refocusing when product height changes, and the 60 fps acquisition keeps pace with fast conveyors. The jump is worthwhile when throughput exceeds the capability of single-trigger devices or when read failures cause line stoppages.
