A compact desktop label printer delivering 300 dpi resolution at 8 ips with a 4.2" LCD for standalone operation, supporting media up to 4.63" wide and 8" roll diameter
The Cognitive TPG CXD4-1300 is a desktop barcode and label printer built with an all-metal mechanism for high-volume use. Its die-cast LCD control panel allows menu-driven setup without a connected computer. Integrated Ethernet, USB-A, USB-B, serial and parallel ports cover legacy and modern networks. An 8-inch outer-diameter roll capacity supports long runs in warehouses, healthcare, retail and logistics.
Direct thermal technology prints at 203 dpi as standard, with an optional 300 dpi mode for denser barcodes and small text. The fixed 8 ips speed cannot be exceeded, so throughput is capped for large batches. Media width is restricted to 2.00–4.63 inches and caliper to 0.01 inch, excluding wider or thicker tag stocks. Ribbon is not used, so thermal-transfer durability is unavailable on this configuration.
The optional 300 dpi (12 dpmm) resolution is the single specification that determines whether the CXD4-1300 can produce the fine barcodes and graphics required on small labels. At the default 203 dpi, narrow-bar symbologies and high-density 2D codes may not scan reliably. Buyers needing thermal-transfer ribbon support or wider media must select a different model.

Choose 203 dpi for general shipping labels and barcodes. Select the optional 300 dpi if you need finer detail on small labels, dense 2D codes, or graphics at the same 8 ips speed.
At 8 ips (203.2 mm/sec) the CXD4-1300 produces labels quickly enough for high-volume batch printing while the all-metal mechanism maintains consistent quality across large 8-inch OD rolls.
The built-in Ethernet port connects to a LAN. Serial and parallel ports support legacy POS systems, while USB-A and USB-B handle PC or peripheral links.
