Two hooks for light décor

Command Medium Decorative Hooks arrive as a black-cherry pair designed for renters and homeowners who want to hang lightweight items without drilling. Each hook supports up to three pounds using the brand’s removable adhesive. They suit pictures, keys or seasonal decorations on painted walls, wood or tile.

Replaces nails and screws for temporary displays

The adhesive strips remove cleanly, leaving no holes, marks or sticky residue. Switching from hardware fasteners is worthwhile when you need to reposition artwork frequently or cannot risk damaging a deposit. The system is not suited for objects heavier than three pounds per hook.

Press-and-hold installation with refill strips

Peel the liner, press the strip to the surface for thirty seconds, then slide the hook on. Most failures come from skipping the wait time or applying to dusty, textured or freshly painted walls. Refill strips let you reuse the hooks, but only on clean, smooth surfaces.

Questions about this item

What type of wall surface is required for the adhesive to bond properly?

The adhesive bonds to paint, wood, tile and similar smooth surfaces; it will not adhere well to textured, porous or freshly painted walls.

What is the most common mistake when applying the adhesive strip?

The most common mistake is pressing the strip for too short a time; hold it firmly against the wall for the full duration stated on the pack to activate the adhesive.

How do I re-use the hook after removing it?

Peel the used strip off cleanly, then apply a new Command Refill Strip to the back of the hook before mounting it again.
