Emergency LED fixture with dual heads

The Compass CSWEU2LED is a self-contained emergency light that operates on 120/277 V supply and provides 90 minutes of illumination from its nickel-cadmium battery. Two adjustable LED heads deliver a combined 1.2 W output at 3.6 V DC. The white plastic housing measures 13 1/4 in wide by 5 3/8 in long by 5 3/4 in high.

Mounts directly to a standard junction box

The unit connects to the building’s 120 V or 277 V circuit and requires no external driver or remote battery pack. Its integrated charger maintains the nickel-cadmium cells automatically, freeing the installer from specifying separate charging hardware. The compact footprint allows installation in corridors, stairwells or utility rooms where ceiling depth is limited.

Rated for 90 minutes at full output

During a power loss the fixture sustains 1.2 W for the full 90-minute duration, covering the minimum egress period required by most codes. The two-head design illuminates a path in two directions but does not replace higher-lumen units needed for large open areas. Nickel-cadmium chemistry tolerates a wide temperature range but will eventually require cell replacement.
