Replacement Remote with 3 Mile Range

This CompuStar 2WT13R-SF serves as a new replacement remote for compatible Compustar security and remote-start systems. It provides two-way LCD confirmation so the user sees command status at a glance. The unit is intended for owners who need a spare or replacement transmitter for supported control modules.

Range and Temperature Limits

Maximum communication range is listed as 3000 feet under optimal conditions; real-world distance will be lower due to obstacles and interference. Operating temperature spans -20ºC to 60ºC, so extreme cold or heat beyond those points can degrade performance. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery offers an estimated 30 to 40 days between charges.

Build and Daily Use

USB rechargeable lithium-ion power removes the need for disposable coin cells. Digital spread spectrum with proximity unlock on the AF frequency helps maintain a stable link and enables hands-free entry when near the vehicle. Compatibility is limited to the CM-900X, CM-DC3, CM-X, CM7000-AS, CM7200-S modules and the ANT-2WSF antenna; other systems are not supported.

Questions about this item

Which compatible control module should I select for my vehicle?

Choose from CM-900X, CM-DC3, CM-X, CM7000-AS or CM7200-S; the correct module depends on your vehicle's wiring and the features you want enabled.

What does the 3-mile range actually deliver in daily use?

Up to 3000 feet of reliable two-way communication in open areas; buildings, terrain and RF noise will reduce the practical distance.

How does the SF digital spread spectrum interface affect performance?

The SF spread-spectrum link with proximity unlock resists interference and enables hands-free entry when you approach the vehicle with the remote.
