Questions about this item

How do I position the 16.25-inch basket inside the 18-inch pot so it clears the rim?

Lower the basket straight down until its handles rest on the pot's upper edge; the 16.25-inch diameter leaves a narrow gap around the 18-inch interior so steam circulates without the basket tipping.

What upkeep does the stainless steel 80-quart pot and its 13.75-inch deep basket require over time?

Wash both pieces with hot soapy water after each use, avoid chloride cleaners that pit the surface, and periodically check the riveted handles for tightness to prevent loosening during heavy loads.
