What this cable delivers

This ConnectGear two-pack supplies 1.8-metre HDMI High Speed cables with Ethernet. They carry cinema-quality resolutions up to 4K and support 3D images for HDTV, DVD and PC sources. The 24k gold-plated connectors and integrated strain relief protect signal integrity during daily use.

Signal stability over long runs

Gold plating resists corrosion so conductivity stays consistent after repeated insertion cycles. The built-in Ethernet channel lets compatible devices share a network link without extra wiring. Shielding and strain relief keep the internal conductors aligned when the cable is routed behind furniture or through tight conduit.

Plug-in simplicity and common pitfalls

Each cable uses standard male-to-male HDMI ends that seat with a firm click. The 5.90-foot length reaches most wall-mounted displays without slack, but it cannot span wider rooms. Buyers who need longer runs or in-wall ratings should look for a different specification.

Questions about this item

Does the cable generate heat or consume extra power during continuous use?

The passive HDMI cable carries signal without active components, so it produces no measurable heat and draws no external power during all-day operation.

What devices must I already own for the two 1.8 m cables to work?

You need two HDMI-equipped sources — such as a PC, DVD player or set-top box — and two HDMI displays or receivers that accept male HDMI connectors.

Will the 4K-capable cables work with my older 1080p monitor and 720p projector?

Yes, the cables support all listed HDTV formats including 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, so they are fully backward-compatible with those resolutions.
