Cable purpose and audience

This ConnectGear HDMI High Speed Cable with Ethernet links a male HDMI source to a male HDMI display. It is for anyone connecting a PC, DVD player or similar device to an HDTV that accepts standard HDMI signals. Buyers who need a different connector type or a longer run than 9.84 ft should look elsewhere.

Installation and common issues

The cable plugs directly into each HDMI port without tools or adapters. Integrated strain relief helps protect the internal wires from damage during routing or repeated unplugging. The most common issue is seating the connector fully; a loose fit can interrupt the signal or the Ethernet channel.

Pre-purchase checks

Verify that both your source and display have standard HDMI sockets and that 9.84 ft (3 m) reaches between them without tension. Confirm your devices support the HDMI formats you plan to use, such as 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p or 4K resolution. Ensure you require the Ethernet channel feature, as not all equipment implements it.

What comes in the package and do I need any extra adapters?

The box contains one HDMI High Speed Cable with Ethernet; both ends are male HDMI so no separate adapters are required.

Which length should I choose for a 3-metre run between my PC and TV?
