Four-colour high-yield set
This four-pack contains one black, cyan, magenta and yellow LC401XL cartridge from Cool Toner. The cartridges are built as aftermarket replacements for the Brother LC401 and LC401XL series and fit the MFC-J1010DW, MFC-J1012DW, MFC-J1170DW and MFC-J1800DW printers. Home offices and small businesses that print regularly in colour can use the set to keep all channels topped up without mixing brands.
Ink consumption and output
Each black cartridge is rated for up to 560 pages and each colour cartridge for up to 510 pages at 5 percent coverage on A4 or letter paper. The high-yield formulation means fewer cartridge changes during normal document and photo printing. No power draw, thermal output or acoustic noise is associated with the cartridges themselves.
Bundled guide and chip handling
The box includes a user guide that explains chip handling and printer prompts. It advises not to touch or remove the chip, to accept any "non-original" message by pressing OK or Next, and to reseat a cartridge several times if a low-ink or replace-cartridge warning appears. These steps help the printer recognise the aftermarket cartridges and continue printing.

Questions about this item
How do I install the LC401XL cartridges in my MFC-J1010DW and what step do people often miss?
Open the front cover, wait for the carriage to center, push each cartridge in until it clicks, and do not touch or remove the chip on the cartridge.
What maintenance will these LC401XL cartridges need later?
No routine maintenance is required; when print quality drops or the printer shows a low-ink warning, replace the empty cartridge with a new LC401XL unit.
At what page count will the black LC401XL cartridge run out first under sustained printing?
The black cartridge yields up to 560 pages at 5 % coverage, while each colour yields up to 510 pages, so black typically depletes first.
