65% wired mechanical keyboard

The Cooler Master CK720 is a 65 percent layout mechanical keyboard in Space Gray. It connects by wire and uses hot-swappable mechanical switches. The compact form keeps arrow and navigation keys while saving desk space for gaming or work setups.

Gamers wanting hot-swap flexibility

This board suits users who want to change switch feel without soldering. The 65 percent layout appeals to players who need arrow keys but prefer a smaller footprint. Buyers who want wireless connectivity or a dedicated number pad should look at other models.

Hot-swappable switch sockets

The defining spec is the hot-swappable socket design that lets you replace mechanical switches with no tools. This feature decides whether the keyboard matches a builder who experiments with switch types or a user who prefers a fixed, factory-assembled board.

Questions about this item

What interface does the CK720 use for its wired connection, and what bandwidth does that cap in practice?

The CK720 connects over a standard wired USB link; bandwidth is limited by the USB port you plug it into rather than the keyboard itself.

What physical space does the 65% layout need to fit on a desk or tray?

The 65% form factor omits the numeric keypad, so it occupies roughly the width of the alphanumeric block plus navigation keys — measure your tray against a full-size board to confirm clearance.

How are the mechanical switches installed on the CK720, and what step do people often miss?

The board is hot-swappable; switches press straight into the sockets without soldering, but you must align the pins vertically before pushing down or they can bend.
