Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB

The Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R RGB is a 240 mm all-in-one liquid cooler built for mainstream desktop processors. It fits Intel sockets from LGA 775 through LGA 1700 and AMD sockets from AM2 through AM4. The unit targets builders who want RGB lighting and closed-loop cooling without custom plumbing. It includes dual 120 mm fans and a low-profile dual-chamber pump.

Upgrade from 120 mm or air cooling

Moving from a 120 mm radiator or a tower air cooler to this 240 mm unit adds surface area for heat rejection. The jump is worthwhile when CPU thermals throttle sustained workloads or when case airflow is limited. The dual-chamber pump design improves flow over earlier single-chamber models. Extra LGA 1700 brackets must be obtained separately from the manufacturer.

Build integration and included accessories

The radiator measures 277 x 119.6 x 27 mm and mounts in standard 240 mm fan slots. Two 120 mm PWM fans operate between 650 and 2000 RPM, delivering up to 66.7 CFM at 30 dBA. Addressable RGB lighting on the pump and fans is controlled via CM Plus software or the included wired controller. A 1-to-3 ARGB splitter and sleeved FEP tubing simplify cable routing and loop durability.

Questions about this item

Will the 277 mm by 119.6 mm radiator with 27 mm thickness fit my case’s 240 mm mounting points?

The radiator measures 277 mm long, 119.6 mm wide and 27 mm thick, so verify that your case allows at least 30 mm clearance for fans and tubing beyond the 240 mm fan holes.

Which bracket do I use for an LGA 1700 socket and where does the ARGB splitter connect?

Use the supplied LGA 1700 mounting hardware; the 1-to-3 ARGB splitter plugs into the pump’s 3-pin 5 V ARGB header, then each fan’s ARGB lead connects to the splitter.

How often should I check the sleeved FEP tubing and can the pump be refilled?

Inspect the black-sleeved FEP tubing every 12 months for kinks or seepage; the loop is sealed and not user-serviceable, so no refill is possible.
