Universal Laptop Cooling Stand

The Coolertek cooling pad fits laptops up to 17 inches and uses five 90 mm fans running at 1700 RPM to move 50 CFM of air across a metal mesh surface. It draws 5 V at 0.45 A through a USB-A connection and adds two USB 2.0 ports with independent switches for peripherals. Six tilt settings let you set the typing angle between 15 and 35 degrees.

USB Power And Port Limits

The unit is powered directly from a single USB-A port on the laptop, so total current for the fans and any attached devices cannot exceed what that port supplies. The 60 cm cable reaches most desk layouts but cannot be extended without a separate powered hub. Fan speed is fixed at 1700 RPM with no software control or PWM header.

Five Fan Array For 17 Inch Maximum

The five-fan layout is sized for the 14.6 x 10.7 inch footprint and stops being effective once the laptop exceeds the 17 inch diagonal limit. Buyers with larger gaming or workstation notebooks will not get full coverage and should look for a wider platform.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 12 inch or the 17 inch version of this cooler?

There is only one size; it supports any laptop from 12 up to 17 inches and the surface measures 14.6 by 10.7 inches.

What does the 50 CFM airflow figure mean once the cooler is under my laptop?

The five 90 mm fans push up to 50 CFM at 1700 RPM, lowering component temperatures while running at a quiet noise level.

What does the USB 2.0 interface cap in practice for data and power?

The two USB 2.0 ports provide extra connections for peripherals; the cooler itself draws 5 V at 0.45 A from a single USB-A cable.
