Cooper Atkins Type K Probe
This Cooper Atkins 50319-K probe measures air or surface temperature with an exposed Type K thermocouple. The mini plug connects directly to compatible meters for HVAC, food-safety or industrial checks. It is built for technicians who need a fast-response surface sensor in a compact format.
Mini Plug and Coiled Cable
The mini plug fits standard Type K instrument inputs without adapters. A coiled cable stretches from 12 inches to 48 inches, giving reach across a duct or equipment cabinet while retracting to stay out of the way. The 7/16-inch by 5-inch probe sheath slides into tight openings.
Replaces Worn or Damaged Type K Leads
Swap this probe in when an existing Type K lead shows cracked insulation, drifted readings or a broken plug. The jump is worth it when the old sensor no longer tracks the -40 to 650 °C range reliably. It is not for applications that require immersion, penetration or a different thermocouple type.

Questions about this item
How long can the probe stay at 650 °C before the mini-plug or cable degrades?
The probe is rated to 650 °C, but the coiled 12 in / 48 in cable and mini plug have no published time-at-temperature limit, so sustained exposure should be kept as short as the application allows.
Does the cable or plug get hot enough to burn fingers during continuous surface measurements?
The exposed thermocouple tip reaches process temperature while the 12 in coiled / 48 in extended cable and mini plug remain near ambient, so only the tip presents a burn hazard.
What meter socket is required for the 50319-K's mini plug?
The probe terminates in a standard Type K mini plug, so any thermometer or logger with a matching Type K mini jack will accept it directly.
