6-in-1 Card Reader for Smart Cards and Media
This USB 2.0 device reads CAC, government ID and national ID smart cards alongside SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSD, MMC RS and 4.0 and SIM cards. It suits military, government and enterprise users who need PKI log-on, digital signature or online-banking authentication on Windows, Linux/Unix or macOS.
Black Plastic Housing with Integrated Slots
The single-piece black shell combines a full-size smart-card slot, an SD/SDHC/SDXC slot and a microSD/SIM/MMC slot so no separate adapters are required. A fixed USB 2.0 cable plugs directly into any standard Type-A port, drawing power from the bus without an external supply.
Driver-Free CCID Operation Across Platforms
Microsoft WHQL, ISO-7816, EMV2 2000 Level 1, CE, FCC and VCCI certifications mean the reader enumerates as a standard CCID device on Windows 98 through Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 through 2016, Windows CE 5.0, Linux/Unix and macOS X without extra software. No bundled applications are included; middleware such as ActivClient must be sourced separately.

The reader connects via USB 2.0, so data moves at USB 2.0 speeds for both smart-card and memory-card operations.
What physical space and connections does the device need?
It plugs into a standard USB Type-A port and sits flat; no internal bay, bracket or external power is required.
How is the reader installed and what step is often missed?
Plug it into a USB port; Windows 10 and macOS load the CCID driver automatically, but on older Windows versions you must install the ActivClient or vendor middleware before inserting a CAC.
