Product Identity

The Corn Electronics S8038-7K is an 80 mm case fan that uses a four-pin PWM connector and runs on 12 V DC. It spins at up to 7000 rpm and weighs 151 g. Double ball bearings support the motor shaft. The frame is black and carries no LED lighting.

Suitability

This fan fits cases and coolers that accept an 80 mm by 38 mm mounting pattern and a four-pin header. It suits users who want PWM speed control and a double ball bearing design. Buyers who need a larger frame size or a different voltage should look elsewhere.

Deciding Specification

The maximum speed of 7000 rpm is the figure that determines whether this fan delivers the airflow you require. Match it against the thermal target of your build before ordering.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 7000rpm 80mm fan run during continuous operation?

At maximum speed the 80mm fan spins at 7000rpm using double ball bearings; power draw is 0.5A typical and 1.3A peak on 12V, so heat output scales with the load you apply.

What connector and voltage does the 4Pin PWM 80mm fan require from my motherboard?

It needs a standard 4-pin PWM header supplying 12V DC; the board must provide up to 1.3A for full-speed operation.

Will the 80x80x38mm S8038-7K fit the mounting holes on my older 80mm chassis?

Yes — the frame is exactly 80mm square and 38mm thick, matching the legacy 80mm screw pattern used on older cases.
