Questions about this item

How fast will files actually move with the 3 Mbps transfer rate?

The 3 Mbps rate is the Bluetooth 4.0 maximum; real-world throughput is lower due to overhead and distance, but it handles typical file and audio streaming tasks.

What does the USB 2.0 interface limit in practice?

USB 2.0 provides ample bandwidth for the adapter's 3 Mbps Bluetooth link, so the USB bus does not bottleneck the connection.

How much clearance does the 2.72 oz dongle need beside a laptop port?

The compact dongle protrudes only a short distance from the USB-A socket, leaving adjacent ports free on most laptops and desktops.
