Compact stereo speakers for desk setups

The Corn Electronics H128 is a 2.0 USB-powered speaker pair that delivers 6 W total output from dual 3 W drivers. Its 60 x 70 x 100 mm cabinets sit neatly under a monitor or on either side of a laptop, and the 345 g weight makes them easy to move between workspaces. A 3.5 mm aux input adds compatibility with phones and tablets.

Plug-and-play wiring with in-line volume

A single USB cable supplies DC 5 V power while a 3.5 mm jack carries the audio signal, so no separate adapter or charging is required. The 1.12 m USB and aux leads reach most desktop ports, and the 24-inch inter-speaker cable lets you space the units up to 60 cm apart. A wired remote on the cable provides instant volume control without software.

Fixed RGB lighting and modest power draw

Rainbow LED breath-lighting runs continuously whenever the speakers are powered; the colour cycle cannot be disabled or adjusted. The 4 Ω impedance and ≥80 dB signal-to-noise ratio keep distortion low at typical listening levels, and the 40 Hz – 18 kHz frequency response covers dialogue and music without needing extra cooling or a high-wattage USB port.

Questions about this item

At what volume level does the 6 W total output begin to distort during long sessions?

The dual 3 W drivers are rated at 4 Ω impedance with an SNR of ≥80 dB, so distortion stays low until you push the USB-powered amplifier near its 5 V current limit.

How warm do the enclosures get and how loud is the cooling after hours of playback?

There is no fan; the passive 60×70×100 mm cabinets rely on convection, so they run warm but silent even during all-day use.

Which ports must my device already provide for these speakers to function?

You need one free USB-A port for 5 V power and a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack for the audio signal.
