USB gaming headset with THX Spatial Audio

The Corn Electronics Kraken Kitty Edition connects by USB and delivers THX Spatial Audio 7.1 for positional sound in games and streams. Its 50 mm neodymium drivers cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 32 ohms impedance and 109 dB sensitivity. The retractable unidirectional microphone operates from 100 Hz to 10 kHz with -45 dB sensitivity and a click-to-mute function.

Check USB port and software needs

Your PC or console must provide a free USB Type-A port for the 1.3 m cable and support the Razer Synapse 3 software that controls THX Spatial Audio, Chroma lighting and stream-reactive effects. The headset weighs 275 g and uses oval cooling-gel cushions measuring 65 by 44 mm, so verify that the fit suits extended sessions. On-earcup controls handle volume and the THX toggle without extra drivers.

Replaces basic stereo headsets lacking spatial audio

This model upgrades from standard two-channel USB headsets by adding THX Spatial Audio 7.1 and per-zone RGB lighting on the earcups and kitty ears. The jump is worth it for streamers who want emote-reactive lighting and gamers who need directional cues, but not for buyers who only need simple stereo chat or prefer a lighter frame without the Kitty ear structure.

Questions about this item

Does the USB headset ship with a detachable microphone or any extra cables?

The microphone is retractable and built into the left earcup, so no separate mic or extra cables are required; the 1.3 m USB cable is permanently attached.

What does the 7.1 RGB label mean for this Quartz Pink model?

It indicates THX Spatial Audio surround processing plus 16.8 million-colour Razer Chroma lighting on both the kitty ears and earcups, all driven over the single USB connection.

How does the 109 dB sensitivity and 50 mm driver combo perform in-game?

The 50 mm neodymium drivers deliver 109 dB output at 1 kHz, giving loud, clear positional audio with THX Spatial Audio enabled, while the oval cooling-gel cushions (65 x 44 mm) keep ears comfortable during long sessions.
