What this device does

The Corn Electronics Mouse Mover keeps a computer awake by rotating an optical mouse on a small black platform. Random motion prevents sleep mode and stops messaging apps from showing an away status. It is aimed at students, professionals and gamers who need their session to stay active without installing software.

Check your mouse and power source

The unit needs a 5 V USB port or wall charger and an optical mouse that fits on the small surface. A cradle stops the mouse from sliding off during movement. Verify that your mouse tracks reliably on the platform before relying on it for long periods.

Replaces software keep-awake tools

This hardware jiggler removes the need for background utilities or script-based mouse movers that IT policies may block. The jump is worth it when you cannot install programs, need a physical on/off switch with LED feedback, or want a device that leaves no software footprint on the system.

Questions about this item

Does the mouse mover include a power adapter or do I need my own USB charger?

It ships with the mover unit only; power comes from any 5 V USB port or wall charger you already own.

Is the small size big enough for a full-size ergonomic mouse?

The small platform and cradle are designed for standard mice; larger ergonomic models may overhang the edges.

How does the random movement keep Teams or Slack showing "Available"?

The device physically shifts an optical sensor at irregular intervals, so the OS registers constant pointer activity without any software.
