Hybrid Mecha-Membrane Switch

The Razer Ornata V2 uses a hybrid Mecha-Membrane switch that blends mechanical click feedback with a cushioned membrane feel. It connects via USB and features 115 keys in a black finish. A detachable plush leatherette wrist rest attaches magnetically for wrist support during long sessions. Per-key Chroma RGB lighting is fully programmable through Razer Synapse.

Gamers wanting clicky feel with soft landing

This keyboard suits players who like an audible click but prefer a softer bottom-out than a pure mechanical switch. The multi-function digital wheel and dedicated media keys give quick volume and playback control. Buyers who need a wireless connection or a compact layout without a numeric keypad should look elsewhere. The wired braided cable and full-size design limit portability for LAN events.

USB wired with cable routing grooves

Plug the braided fiber cable into any USB port and use the built-in grooves to route the cord left, right or centre for a tidy desk. N-key rollover and 1000 Hz ultrapolling register every keystroke without conflict. On-the-fly macro recording and a gaming mode option let you customise behaviour without leaving the game. The keyboard is also compatible with Xbox One for basic input.

Questions about this item

What USB port does the keyboard need on my PC?

It plugs into any standard USB port for power and data, no extra adapter or driver installation required.

Will the magnetic wrist rest and cable routing grooves still fit if I keep my older full-size keyboard tray?

The detachable wrist rest snaps on magnetically and the cable can exit left, right or centre through the built-in grooves, so it adapts to most existing trays.

How can I confirm the 1000 Hz polling rate and per-key RGB are active after setup?

Open Razer Synapse, select the Ornata V2, and verify the polling slider shows 1000 Hz while the Chroma tab displays live per-key lighting previews.
