Compact stereo speakers for desktop and mobile use

The Corn Electronics S3 2.0 is a pair of USB-powered mini speakers rated at 3W per channel. They connect through a 3.5 mm audio jack and draw power from any standard USB port, making them suitable for PCs, laptops and tablets that have a headphone output. A wired inline volume knob gives direct level control without software.

Check your device for a 3.5 mm headphone jack

The speakers require both an analogue audio output and a USB power source rated at 5 V and at least 1 A. Verify that your computer or mobile device provides these two connections simultaneously. The supplied cables are approximately 1 m long, so ensure the placement can reach both ports without strain.

Steady output at rated power

Under continuous use the dual 3 W drivers maintain their rated output while the RGB LEDs cycle through colours in time with the audio. The frequency response spans 100 Hz to 20 kHz, and the 4 Ω impedance per channel is matched to the built-in amplifier for consistent performance during extended listening sessions.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy any cables separately?

The package contains the two mini speakers with an integrated 1 m USB power lead and a 1 m 3.5 mm audio cable. A wired inline volume knob is already attached to the audio cable, so no extra cables are required for a PC, laptop or tablet.

Which version should I choose if I want the model with RGB lighting and wired volume control?

The S3 2.0 is a single SKU; it already includes colour-changing RGB LEDs and the wired inline volume knob, so there is no separate version to select.

What does the 3 W × 2 rating mean for everyday listening at my desk?

Each driver delivers up to 3 W RMS for a combined 6 W, driven by a standard 5 V USB port, giving clear stereo output at close range with a frequency response of 100 Hz–20 kHz.
